Will child support send some kind of communication if the other parent has changed the payment method from child support collect to private collect?
I was on my Gov/ child support (not the app) the other day and have noticed at the top of the screen it now says.. As your payments are made privately we are unable to display this information. Little confused as it still shows underneath the amount expected, the current assessment still says child support to collect.

Are you the payer or the receiver? Private agreements need to be mutual, so if this has happened without your knowledge you need to ring them especially if you are the receiver.
I'm the payer
Did you attempt to make the changes or did the receiver make the changes. Only the person receiving the payments can make the change. Unfortunately there are too many arseholes out there (male and female) attempting to control their exes using the private collection arrangement. Then they choose to not pay even though they should be paying it which in turn upsets the receivers and children’s lives as their standard of living is compromised as they receive their PPS etc based on what the payer is supposed to pay.
Arrangements is determined by the receiver
Thanks, child support would still notify me if the receiving parent made the change to the payment method wouldn't they?
They would but it could take a while. Call them. I’ve had to ring them 3 times recently and haven’t waited more than 2-3 minutes
Give them a call. Is it maybe for child support you pay (even though it’s $0 a year)? Then it’s CSA collect for what he pays you.
