My 9.5yr old daughter has been growing Pubic hair since she was around 5. We had test done to see if she was going through early puberty etc but all results came back normal and healthy. Now 4yrs later she’s broken out in some pimples on her forehead, her chest is beginning to develop and underarm hair. I know at 9.5 this is normal I’m just curious if anyone else found their daughters showed these developments and then got their period shortly after? I’ve spoken to her and educated her on periods and the changes and she is feeling confident, I’m just wondering if her period will begin soon? Also wondering if girls that age shave under their arms?

There is no predictable timeline. Some girls develop early in boobs etc and take many years to get there period. Others can be flat chested and get there period.
Set her up with a kit for her school bag - spare undies, pads, period undies maybe, a little waterproof bag and some water wipes just in case.
I mainly shave under my arms because I sweat profusely if they are even a little bit hairy. If she's struggling with hairy pits, let her do whatever she needs to do to be comfortable. But if it doesn't bother her and she doesn't have BO she's probably fine.
Oh, and my 9yo has been wearing deodorant for around 12 months now but her armpits are still bare
My daughter was about 8 when she got BO for the first time, less than a year later she started her period in full swing. Her breast come later, about 10-11.
I started growing public hair at 8 and developing boobs. I remember it was such a long process. But I didn't get my period until I was 14 or 15 which my mother and I thought was strange considering she got hers when she was 10
My eldest who just turned 11 started growing pubic hair at the same age around 5 she has started getting boobs the last year or so but no periods yet but im going to get some pads for her school bag just in case
My now 14 year old started to develop around 9 years old she got her first Period 2 weeks after her 10th birthday.
