Love and Life

About a month ago my recent partner and I have decided to take a step back in our relationship and get things sorted in our lives and then figure out where we go from there (we both live in different states and both have a lot going on). While we were together and while I was at his place both of our lives didn’t exactly work being together and that was one of the reasons we decided to work on us along with many others (kids etc), we both have so much love for each other and I hate the thought of life without him but I’m also worried because our lives didn’t work the first time will they eventually or as much as it will hurt is it better to just call it quits now and move on? I’m so torn 😔

Love isnt everything. It has got to work together. After you have kids you realise how important it is to really make sure of that before getting into it.

The problem with long distance relationships is that both people are required ‘fill in the blanks’ or imagine the details/workings of your lives together. Both people imagine the details/workings that suit them best.
These details are usually exposed quite early in a relationship and you go separate ways, and it’s no big deal. But in long distance your left feeling frustrated and confused because things didn’t match and stuck with this ‘connection’ that your both built up.
It probably won’t work, and it’s probably best you cut the cord and move on. None of those issues you mention are likely to resolve quickly anyway and holding on to each other is probably just delaying the inevitable.
