Ready to leave husband

Ready to leave husband

I’m ready to leave my husband. We fight a lot. We never really resolve anything, we just move past and get on with things. We can be ‘ok’ for months, then fight for weeks. I honestly don’t think I love him. I’m not attracted to him. I sleep on the couch regularly.

He doesn’t want to seperate though. And when the topic comes up, he’ll tell me I’m free to leave but he’s not going anywhere. And then he’ll tell me I’m not taking the children. We have three. He’s using the kids to stop me from going. He doesn’t have family here and I do. He’s suggested counselling but I don’t even care, because I know he won’t change. He drinks too much which is when a lot of the problems start. He can get very authorative and aggressive, but doesn’t admit this is what he’s doing.

How do you dissolve a 20 year relationship when one member of the relationship does not agree? How do you come up with a parenting plan that is best for the kids and not him thinking of himself?

I have been there, get your kids and go to your family. Work the rest out when you get there. Make the first little step. You will find your way. Big hugs mumma xx

Forget all the MRA's and their BS. Seek legal advice ASAP. That is your best first step. Women's legal might be able to help over the phone. Goodluck

So many similarities to my life here. I wish I was strong enough to leave but I have no one close by, no income and no way of getting a rental house for me and the kids as hubby has made sure over the years that he controls everything. If you can get out with the kids do it, its not good for them to see their mum in an unhappy relationship 😥
