Hi everyone!
I’m just wanting some opinions, we are currently living with my inlaws and we are creeping up to our savings goal to buy our first home, our problem is that we don’t have permanent jobs at the moment and I know lending is strict so we will have to find a permanent role and stay there but it’s proving to be difficult with a disabled child. I can’t seem to find anything that will fit in with the weekly appointments and school hours, has anyone been in a similar situation and have lenders given you a go based on carer allowance + part time or casual plus a partner with say a full time position?
Thank you everyone!

There are so many variables you are better off speaking to a broker. A lot will depend on how long your partner has been working in the same job for and how much he earns. You maybe asked to have a guarantor or pay mortgage insurance.
To get our loan we were both in full time permanent work. To remortgage we had to apply on my income alone as my partner had changed to contracting. They wouldn't consider his income at all for it.
We don't get any CL at all so I'm not sure but I do believe some payments are classed as permanent income.
I also recommend speaking to a mortgage broker, we used Aussie and they were brilliant!
