Can my employer denied me my long service leave if I'm a casual an have been there for well over 10year. I've been told by others that they have been told the only way they can take theirs is to leave?

What state are you in? It varies depending on state.
I didn't think casual employees got long service leave??
Casuals don't get long service leave but it might be worth having a chat to fair work since you have been there 10 years. If they haven't offered you a permanent position in the past and you have had regular hours then they should have offered you a permanent position. Otherwise just have a chat to them and see if they're happy for you to take unpaid leave but still able to come back later, no harm in asking.
Live in Queensland, I know of someone who worked 20yrs in same job, was casual then went full time then stepped down as part time ( first 10years)' had a bub, come back as a casual an was able to use her first 10yrs leave afterwards
A quick Google search gives the answer yes you’re entitled to long service if you continuously employed by the same business full time part time and casual
