Hi my hubby is getting the snip in over a week, what should I do for him besides bake a celebration cake lol, or what to expect from his recovery?

Lol my husband was changing break pads and working normally 3 hours after having his done and he didn’t get any sort of celebration
Yeah my husband got a thanks and that was about it. He has always been very responsible regarding contraception and I never felt like it was just up to me so that's why I thanked him but not much else. He was feeling fine the next morning after a 5pm procedure.
Nothing? My husband walked out perfectly fine, enjoyed the fact he got the day off when he was fine and returned to labouring the next day.
I don't think a little compassion would hurt lol. Cake aside, maybe just be prepared to help him out if necessary.
I had my implanon replaced a few weeks ago, I milked that for all it was worth. I barely lifted a finger for a week while I "healed" 😂😂
So I'd be happy to return the favour if/when my hubby gets the snip hehe.
To clarify, I was 1 of the respondents above. Compassion if there is any soreness is obviously appropriate. But I do think it's weird to celebrate a minor medical procedure. I've never received a cake or present etc after a pap smear or any other procedure. Flowers after major surgery maybe, but never for minor stuff that is a choice to be responsible or proactive etc.
I think it's lovely this poster is planning something nice, but I don't think anything more is required.
My kids and I brought him a jar and filled it with of every ball shaped lollies we could find.
Supportive Jocks for sure!!! My partners initial pain wasn't too bad but he ended needing ages off work as he got a blood clot. Recovery for him took alot longer ( about 2 weeks) before he was actually abke to move about slightly comfortably. And alot longer for most other activities.
Instead of ice packs a few bags of frozen peas/small cut vege.
They mould to the shape better and provide more comfort.
Alternate them as they defrost.
