We have a 50/50 arrangement, but it isn't working. You need to have really good communication for it to work. Before that we did the every second weekend and one extra visit on the off week and that worked really well. Goodluck
Depends on the age of the kids, employment situations (eg one travels for work a lot), and how hands on both parents were before separation.
50/50 week on week off for my kids and step kid too it works well for us
I believe it depends on the age of the child. 50/50 may work for younger children who dont have school and things. But I think once they get to this age, to benefit the child, they need to be with one parent full time and the other parent everysecond weekend. Kids need stability and routine. We have my step daughter 50/50 and you can tell it disrupts every aspect of her life but understandably neither parent wants to give up their time with her. Btw I'm not having a dig at anyone that does 50/50 every child is different and it depends on the parents relationship with each other as well as with the child.
I believe it is best for the kids to have a main home with one parent and every second weekend and maybe a week night with the other parent. Think about how u would feel moving from one house to another every second week! Holidays are extra to this of course
