Hysterectomy advice?

Hysterectomy advice?

So, after having my last child I had basically non stop bleeding - I'd say 20 days out of the month I would be bleeding and heavily for most of it. I had an ablation and tube removal hoping that this would be the end of my issues but while it has lessened the bleeding (much much lighter, only need to wear a liner) I still bleed for most of the month. My gynaecologist attempted to fit a mirena (which I know I should have tried prior to the ablation but it's done now) but I couldnt have one as I now have adhesions due to the ablation (I regret getting this done but again, too late now). So basically my next step is a hysterectomy. I'm only 37, I don't know what I should do? Leaving the ovaries of course so I don't go through menopause, my gynaecologist said I would be a good candidate for a vaginal hysterectomy, but I just really don't know, I'm worried there could be complications. Anyone who had had one how did they go? Twice I have had abnormal Papsmears over the years and needed Colposcopy's, do they remove your cervix as well? Is sex any different? The constant bleeding I have now, I can't put up with it for much longer, it's frustrating and ruining my sex life with my husband. Thanks for any advice anyone can offer

My sister recently (last year) had a hysterectomy.
She doesn’t regret it one bit although it’s a longish recovery. They took her cervix and it’s taken awhile to get her pelvic floor back to full strength. But otherwise she says she can say she is in a much better way.
I can’t answer the sex part cause I haven’t asked.

I had a hysterectomy in November (at 47) after having continuous heavy periods, bleeding for every 2 weeks for 13 days, pain was like I was in labour putting me in bed for at least 5 days. Had previously had both tubes out and left ovary in March 19 didn’t make any difference.
HYSTERECTOMY WAS BEST THING I EVER DID
I feel absolutely Fantastic, Please don’t feel afraid. I had Laparoscopic, Vaginal Removal keeping right ovary.
