How to relocate?

I know that people move house all the time. People move continents with their families. I am just wanting to consider 3 hours away. But the whole thing still feel SO huge!
Please tell me where everyone starts!!!?? I have an area in mind. It is where I would like to buy my first home. But what do I do first? Do I find a job first before anything?Daycare waitlists? I can't work knowing I won't have childcare but can't afford to hold a position without a job. Do you find somewhere to live first? Move into a house and then job hunt? Or is that too much of a gamble without an income. Rent first and then buy?
I would really love to hear how other families have taken the leap and recreated a life somewhere new. I am leaving my dream job that I absolutely struck out lucky to get. It doesn't pay alot but the personal rewards are huge and the role doesn't come along often. Im heart broken to leave my job but more heartbroken that my children are growing so fast and I could never afford to give them a backyard or house where we are now. So i need to find some courage to make a change for the better in our lives. Help! Where to begin?

I moved states. If you know the area you want to be in, contact childcare centres I find out wait list times. If there are heaps of vacancies then look for a job first.
You can always put your name down on a wait list while you look for work.
In the meantime save like the clappers. Moving is expensive. You’ll want a contingency fund. Get quotes for moving your belongings.
Centrelink May refuse to pay certain payments if you move without having a job to go to.
Things have a way of falling into place, but you’ll have trouble getting housing if you don’t have employment already sorted.
