Menstrual cups

Menstrual cups

Hi all
I have a question in relation to menstrual cups. I brought a juju cup, made sure I got the correct size according to the directions and I just can't seem to make it work! I so wanted to love this and I've had nothing but trouble (leaking, feeling like it's falling out). I have persevered for over 6 months and it's not getting any better. My question is, have other ladies had similar experiences? Or did you find another brand worked better? Any thoughts/suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Get a different size or a different brand?

I’ve tried a few different cups, a few different sizes, over about the same timeframe as you and I’ve come to the conclusion that it’s just not for me. In the end I invested in a set of cloth pads, and I’m sooo much happier with them than I ever was with a cup. I still use a cup on occasion (like for swimming).

If you have a low cervix or a prolapse, that might be the issue. I have the latter and before I had it, I head zero issues with the cup and it changed my life. I've since developed a prolapse and I can no longer use a cup. Tried all sorts to no avail.

I've just recently purchased the ruby cup. I followed the size guide and after using it over night I was left with horrible stomach cramps that lasted long after my period had ended. I sent it back and switched to the small size and didnt get it until after my last period had finished but I'm hoping it works :) I went with that brand because they donate one to girls in third world countries and that was a no brainer for me, and the cups and sterilizing cups come in heaps of different colours so I thought that was pretty cool as well :) I'd suggest either a smaller size or a different brand for sure! Good luck.
