You have been through so much, you need to take time for you. Being a sole parent of a kiddo with ASD can be exhausting plus grieving can be exhausting too. Make sure you are accessing and using all the services available! Use the federal governments emergency respite care. The number is 1800 059 059. They can do things like give you a hand around the house (do dishes etc) which will allow you to concentrate on other things. Make sure you are accessing counselling/support services for yourself too. If you can get some exercise in (for me that's the treadmill in the lounge room). The more you look after yourself the more you can help your son. And remember it's a marathon not a sprint.
Also what was a good routine 5 months ago isn't necessarily a good routine now. So don't be afraid to make a new routine. Contrary to popular opinion not ALL kids with ASD thrive on routine. My son is happiest when there are changes and novelty in is life.
