Hey guys!
Just a question about using the pill to skip my period. I’ve been on the pill on and off for nearly 10 years. I say on and off because I have two kids. During the time when I’m on the pill I’ve used it to skip my period most of that time and haven’t had a problem.
The last three or four months I haven’t been able to skip my period and I’m not sure why. I skip straight to the next pack like I usually do, but I still bleed, sometimes longer than normal. So last month I took the pack as normal and had my period as normal hoping that would help but this month I’m bleeding a week earlier than Im due to.
Has anyone else had this, and know why?
Most of my life I’ve taken levlen. I was taking Yasmin for a few months this year but was too expensive so went back to the doctor and got a script for the one im taking now which is lenest.
Is it something to do with the pill I’m taking, or just my body?
I know this is more of a medical question, but it’s not particularly urgent otherwise I would see a doctor. And I’m hoping some other ladies have had similar experiences and could help me out!
Also, I should add, definitely not pregnant!

I skipped once when I was a teen and never did it again because I was petrified I'd have the horrific pain I had the first time I skipped it, lol it was literally like labour pains.
Could it be the fact you've changed brands of the pill recently? Have you missed any pills during this cycle or taken them later then you usually take them?
When I was younger I was able to skip easily. As I got older my body got more determined and refused to skip.
Levlen stopped working for me especially after having kids, I needed to switch to Brevinor which solved this however exact same as you I was bleeding!
