2 teenage boys - have recieved 100% care child support for both at approx $450 per month. Oldest has recently been taken off as he's turned 18. However assessment has only changed by $20 a MONTH!
While some may consider this lucky, does this sound correct? I really don't want to get stuck with a debt to pay back.
Did your child support payments change a whole lot once the oldest turned 18?
Child support, from 2 to 1 after oldest turns 18
Child support, from 2 to 1 after oldest turns 18

It will probably be recalculated again now because of the EOFY. I wouldn’t stress about it too much personally
I didn't think of it being reassessed come the new financial year. Thanks for reminding me. I guess I expected a lot bigger difference as our oldest is living away and earning quiet a substantial income for his age so it's not like I'm still s"supporting" him.
Probably something you need to discuss with CSA.
Completely right. Child support is not just calculated on the amount of children but on your capacity to pay. Mine dropped by only $5 when 1 of 3 turned 18.
Unfortunately CSA can be pretty unreliable with their assessment it may change after the EOFY but be prepared for it not to, your ex may have changed job
