1st Period Kit

1st Period Kit

Hi,
I'm wanting to put together or buy a 1st Period kit for my 12 yo. Does anyone have any suggestions of a website in Australia that sells this kind of thing or any suggestions of what kind of things I would include in one I'd put together?
Thanks.

It'll be so much cheaper to do one yourself, I would put in:
- Liners
- Pads
- Period proof undies
- Black/grey undies for the days she has them that are comfy
- Chocolate
- A book about girls stuff
- Chicken Soup book (best book ever!)

I'm going to say don't go overboard on products. By all means grab girl books, chocolate, dark undies etc. But as for the products, maybe just a small pack of pads/liners to start with. When I was a kid I had to throw away so many packs of pads/liners/tampons because it turned out I was highly sensitive to the products and they gave me skin reactions (or worse, reactions internally 😬😬😬) and most still do.

Just buy some period proof undies and a book if she needs education. I don't really get why people make it a big deal when most teenage girls wish it wasn't happening. I don't think chocolate etc is required either... It's just setting the scene for once a month eating crap for no reason. Buy some raspberries or other sweet healthy foods when her period comes in case she does get a sweet craving and buy her a hot water bottle if she gets cramps.

Pencil cases are great for keeping a sneaky stash of supplies in the school bag. It’s not obvious if someone looks in her bag. Also I’ve been looking into period panties for my daughter , she hasn’t had hers yet but Ive heard they are fantastic and you don’t need to worry about leakages esp at school
