Is anyone on a diet plan to reverse fatty liver? I am at stage 2, so there is hope for me yet. I don’t eat a lot of food, which my dr has advised that this is my problem. I am overweight though , always have been since I was 10 years old but I wouldn’t say I am unhealthy. I rarely get sick, I’m active, my job requires me to walk constantly for 3-8 hours 4-5 nights a week but still my weight doesn’t budge. I have recently cut out soft drinks, about a month ago. I need a diet plan to get me eating regular meals. Would love some ideas.

Are you on any medication ? Certain meds long term can cause fatty liver too . Even in skinny people .
No meds at all.
First of all, seek a dietician! Ask for a referral from your doctor.
Get a full set of bloods done (if you haven’t already) looking for hormones, cholesterol levels (both HDL and LDL) and bilirubin.
Returning to a low fat, low carb diet may be very beneficial for you, but you’ll need expert help.
And contrary to popular belief, low fat does not always mean more sugar.
I’d suggest limiting all meat to 2 times per week, ensuring vegetable intake is adequate, minimum 5 serves a day and eating enough fibre from fruits and you need whole grains, nuts and berries.
Day 1;
Weetbix with low fat milk option
Or a 5 grain toast with avocado
Snack; small handful of cashew nuts, strawberries and blueberries
Or veggie sticks and hommus
Lunch; whole grain sandwich which with full salad (carrot, sprouts, cucumber, tomato,)
or a vege wrap (roast some veggies the night before with olive oil and use a low carb wrap
Afternoon snack; air popped popcorn and a cuppa tea
Or rice cakes with a small spread of peanut butter ((a natural peanut butter - not with added nasties)
Dinner; steamed greens, brown rice and a protein (think tofu, beans, eggs etc)
Or, roast veg ((make double for lunch the next day)) with baked potato or a whole grain pasta with a homemade sauce.
Or if your super time poor, grab microwaveable veggies, microwaveable rice and a can of tuna, or opt for salads with proteins (again such as kidney beans, butter beans, lentils etc)
But ultimately seek a dietitian
That is heaps of carbs in that!
Depending on what you use. These are just examples. The wraps I have are low carb, or if they’re out of stock I make my own pumpkin and spinach.
Again, a dietitian would be beneficial for a full months menu
Get a referral to a dietitian. You are going to get so much wrong advice on here it will make you worse.
It’s surprisingly cheap and can be free with an allied health care plan.
Even if it does cost you, it will save you money in the long run.
Make a food diary. I have a friend that says she doesnt eat xyz and neither do kids, but the amount of crap they always have is off the charts, even if what I see is the ONLY bad things it's still much worse than us and I wouldn't say we're healthy.
A diary, possibly then shown to someone like a doctor, PT or nutritionist and discussed is the best way to give and get accurate and specific feedback.
Please find a genuine dietitian.
I hope you find the you need.
Check out low carb world on Facebook, it’s a great lchf group and you’ll find so many stories from people that have completely reversed fatty liver, it’s absolutely sustainable . Ive been following lchf for over 2 years and have not felt better. I was at the point of having to have my gall bladder removed until I found this page and changed my lifestyle . Good luck 😊
