Dentures

Dentures..
Hi all. I need to have my top 4 teeth replaced. They're in horrible condition. Can anyone tell me, can this be done at a normal dentist or does it have to be a specialist? How long between having my teeth taken out do I have to be without teeth before I can have my dentures? And do I have to sell a body part to fund it? The rest of my teeth are ok but I'm wondering if I'd be better off to just have them all out and new ones in?

It can be done at a normal dentist. I have lost several top teeth as a consequence of a teenage accident.
I wear a partial top denture with three teeth on it.
Usually you’ll need 2-4 weeks for your mouth to heal before they’ll fit you for a denture.
If you’re given the choice between a plastic and a metal plate, go the metal. The teeth won’t be metal of course but the top bit will. They cost more but last longer and feel so much better in the mouth. Once I’d gotten used to mine, I barely notice they’re there anymore.

Got mine done at regular dentist, he did molds while me teeth were still there, someone else made the false teeth, then went in got teeth pulled and false teeth in on same day.

I'm in the process of having mine done now, same thing, front 4 teeth. They took an impression of my teeth and when they are removed the partial denture will be ready to go straight in. It cost just over 2k, but I'm using a dentist that has Denticare payment plans. Find a lovely no bullshit dentist who will give you an upfront consult and quote, other dentists have stuffed me around (attempting to upsell)
