Hi everyone,
I have a 10 month old and she has a raised birthmark on her head, it’s about the size of a 20c coin and although it doesn’t obstruct her vision or anything they doctors have asked me to go to a consultation about getting it removed. I’m just looking for opinions and other people’s experiences with removals or living with a birthmark
Any guidance would be great thanks!

If the doctors can remove it at a young age with minimal scarring, I think go for it. An imperfection of the skin can cause a lot of discomfort and self consciousness, particularly in girls. She would be too young to remember the surgery/laser should they remove it and in years to come I am sure she would be very thankful.
Is it a port wine stain? They can get darker as they get older and cause health problems so they are better off removed when young! Not sure about other birth marks.
