Not so much a question, but I have not worked for a couple of years, not by choice, I feel I'm failing my family by not contributing financially but Hubby tells me that I am 100% contributing by being what I am . I love a drink or two he doesn't at all, so I feel I should at least pay in that way . I know I am the most super lucky wife ever...but

Sounds like you're all good, no stress about it at least, I would advise to start training as being independent really is important, even if you choose not to, having the choice is everything

One and a half decades on in my marriage I have been the sole provider for my husband . I have gradually started to resent it . You don’t need to worry yet if your kids are still young , but it might not always be this way . When the time is right you will know when that is to start helping financially.

You say you haven’t worked for a couple of years not by choice, so I assume you’ve been looking. Don’t let it get you down, it once took me two years to get a job, it’s tough, don’t give up, something will come up.
