My 8 year old son is getting into fights at school. He's in year 3. From the start of prep, he has been an almost perfect student. The teachers have loved him, he's always been good at his school work. Even the first term of this year he has been great. But something has just switched. I've had 2 phone calls in a week for him fighting and being late to class and figetting in class. I've tried talking to him asking what's going on, has something happened at school etc but he just kept saying nothing's happened. How do I get him back to his great self again? How do I get him to stop being naughty at school? Any help/advice is greatly appreciated.

Sounds like something has happened and he's not telling you! Kids don't change like that for nothing. I would guess he is being bullied, he is fighting back so it looks like it's 2 sided. Late to class and fidgeting is likely to be anxiety. Someone needs to shadow from a distance and find out what is going on.
