How do I deal?

How do I deal?

So today I learnt what the other school mums really think of me. One of the mums actually told me to my face and I thank her for that. I was told one particular mum had bitched about me, tore strips off me behind my back. Apparently I'm an embarrassment and that's why I was being ignored last year. Last stab while some of them like me, I'm the social outcast. I'm hurt angry but at the same time I'm glad to know. At the same time I can't fully understand what I did wrong, I've been nothing but friendly. These women also know I'm bipolar but don't know I have sevear social anxiety and depression. How do I deal with this? How do I face these women again?

You just go about your life with your head held high. Fuck them!

My daughter's friend's mum's don't like me, no idea why either. It used to upset me but now I actually pitty them a bit, imagine having nothing better to do than stand around the school bitching about everyone. Pathetic really!

What does this person have to gain by telling you this! Apart from hurting you! I always wonder about people who involve themselves in drama they are not usually that innocent!

I’d take it with a grain of salt! Do you actually like these woman? Be polite but short. If you’d like to be in with them - confront them tell them what you have been told (in a pleasant way of course)? I bet they deny and embraces you!

How does this get so involved with school mums!? Are you in some kind of group that socialises together? Or are we really just talking about the Mums you see at pick ups and drop offs?

I socialize with these women ouside of school. We have gone on a wine tour, there was a surprise bday lunch for one of them. We actually share the same bday so then you was invited. One mum had drinks and dinner at her place every one was invited, she then turned to me about says I guess you can come too.

Step out and find other people to socialise with! The 'bitchy school mums' cliche didn't come from thin air, it's real. You don't have to be part of it . None of the nice mums are! Lol Just step out.

You need to find yourself a new circle babe. Anyone who makes you feel like you're merely tolerated rather than valued isn't deserving of your time or friendship!

I'd rather have no social circle than one that is full of insincere, mean girls!

Mean girls in high school become mean jealous vindictive women.
If you hang out with them, they will only ruin your self esteem, you’re lucky they rejected you, means you’re high quality.
Fuck them, I know it’s upsetting, but they will turn on each other soon enough and you can watch and laugh at the circus, knowing you’re not involved!
They aren’t your tribe xxxx

Wow. Are they trying to relive their own glory days at school?
Ditch them. They invite you to something - be busy doing even better.

Walk in with your head held high and block them out. They are school mums and they mean nothing. Their opinions of you define them, not you. The person who told you this, shouldn’t have. I think she has her own motive or is just a bitch.! distance yourself from her too. Personally I don’t get involved with school mums. We say hello and we all leave it at that. After all they are school mums and it’s about being there to drop our kids off and pick them up. I wait in the car Now. I barely even see any. You need to stop worrying about what other people think. Their opinions don’t matter :)

I'm the school mum dressed in trakkies and a loose shirt, keeping away from other holier than thou mums.

It's a culture of judgement, we have better things to do than sit around a gossip. As hard as it might be, please do try not let it bother you. They are there for now, not forever xx

Not saying this is in mean way... get over it and realise you are better off without them :) I had dads/ mums(even their teacher friends joined in) say some pretty horrendous stuff and had very vicious rumours started. I had police called on me(never charged) had the school harass my children and more. I smiled and kept my head high. At first I was so upset and distraught. Then I thought these women and men are just the same bullies from high school who never grew up. I realised that for them this behaviour is what we try to reach our children not to let get to them, to stand up too. Just be polite when you have to deal with them as you can to them, not sinking to their level.
