This is just a rant!
Im so bloody sick of trying and trying and trying to get a job!!
When is it my turn to get some sort of permanent employment!!
I have even gone the extra mile and did some basic studies to be able to get something!
Do you think i could find somewhere that's going to hire me!! I have worked casual jobs all my life so i have the experience but i honestly think its because im to old now and im going to be forever in a place where my income isnt secure, never be able to buy a home nothing! Im just so fed up with it!!

I hear ya! After 15 years out of the workforce I have had no luck even getting an interview in 5 years even with re-skilling. I have applied for thousands of jobs - casual, part time & full time and nothing. I am now 50 and have just enrolled at Uni. Not sure getting a degree will guarantee me a job but I have nothing to lose. Sadly if I cannot get a job when I complete my degree we will be stuck in the rental trap forever as my hubby doesn’t earn anywhere near enough for us to get a mortgage and without ftb (which ends at the end of 2021) we receive for our only child we will probably end up homeless.
Why can’t your husband upskill to earn more money? Talking about the fact you’ll probably be homeless in 2 years sounds very dire :/
Man I felt this, I have been actively looking for work for 12 months, the 2 years before that I spent studying. Still nothing...
I even got an email the other day from a company I applied with in April last year "Thank you for your application, unfortunately you haven't been selected for the position on this occasion. We'll keep your resume blah, blah, blah".
Well, shit! I truly thought I was in with a chance for a job I applied for 8 months ago 🤣
No advice but I relate entirely.
If at first you don’t succeed, try, try again.
I was 25 with a young son and no experience when I managed to secure a full time job in the meat industry. Not glamorous work and smells a bit funky, I'd have to shower twice to get the smell of fat off my skin but it pays good and it's a growth industry - the population is only going up. I'm now over 40 and don't imagine I'll be leaving any time soon, all the external training to transfer elsewhere for a "real career" hasn't led to a better paid job than I've achieved through on the job training and promotions here. I'm the highest paid of all my friends except the one that is university educated and working in the education sector. You know all those industries that people say foreigners are coming in to take their jobs? Try there, sometimes full time work is available and the foreigners are doing it because the Aussies won't.
