Anti wrinkle products

I've hit my 30s and have decided it's about time i take better care of my skin. I eat well, exercise, am well hydrated and don't smoke so I'm ok in those departments. I'm reluctant to try anti wrinkle creams though because I'm a bit suspicious of cosmetic companies and wonder if 'anti wrinkle' labels just inflate prices without actually making any real difference. However, I'm no scientist and don't understand the ingredients labels. Can anyone enlighten me? Or better yet, recommend a good product ( and by good, I mean effective, not necessarily expensive!) that does help prevent and/or reduce wrinkles? First hand accounts would be wonderful.
Thanks IMs.

I'm kind of obsessed with anti wrinkle products. Even though i'm not in the business I'm so interested in the whole thing that I would consider myself a bit of an expert. Personally, I've found the greatest things for my skin have been the least expensive! Beauty products you can make at home are amazing. For example making masks out of things like egg yolk, avocado, honey etc. One of the best things is egg white, put an egg white in a bowl and mix then spread all over your face and leave on for 10-30 minutes. This will tighten your face. In the morning dip your face in a bowl with water and ice and leave in for 2-3 minutes. The most important thing to do is to exfoliate, you don't have to spend a lot of money on one. Do this morning and night to get rid of all dead skin cells. Use a dry brush also (if your skin isn't too sensitive). One of the greatest things I invested in is a derma roller. If you're looking for products look for a moisturiser that doesn't contain oil or aren't mainly oil based as this can just clog pores and prevent all the other ingredients from working. Look for things high in nutrients, that contain retinol, Niacinamide, Hyaluronic Acid and anti oxidants. Again you can use foods from home like berries and simply make a face mask. I actually don't use expensive creams as i'm a big believer in what you are putting IN your body is much more helpful than what you put ON your body. I don't obviously know how much wriggle money you have but if you are doing well it might be worth looking into getting some treatments done professionally rather than buying an expensive cream as this can be much more beneficial. I get the facial endermologie treatment which is about 300 bucks a pop, but I only get this done about twice a year. Other things to consider are vitamins specific to anti ageing, things that contain collagen, and also wearing a great sunscreen on your face, staying out of the sun, and even wearing sunglasses during the day. You'll find 1 of the biggest causes is sun damage. Good luck hun!

Watch this weeks episode of the ABCs the Checkout on iview. They did an excellent and funny review. Basically wearing sunscreen and using a basic moisturiser is the way to go. Most of the so called active ingredients in anti wrinkle creams are too diluted or aren't absorbed by the skin. So we can save our selves some money :)
