I am just curious to know if anyone out there has ever fallen pregnant with their tubes tied and still get their period? I have all symptoms of pregnancy but have my tubes tied and my period I'm not sure if I should do a home pregnancy test or go to the dr?

It is possible to fall pregnant with your tubes tied (just like any other contraceptive it has a small failure rate). Its important to see your dr because if you are pregnant it could be an ectopic pregnancy. I'd want a blood test because false negatives in early pregnancy with HPT aren't unheard of.
This recently happened to me, my period was a whole month late my boobs were sore, I'd been feeling sick I was completely freaking out. I had a blood test done and a week later my period came. Thank goodness for that. My doctor was confused as to why I would assume that I could fall pregnant as they had been cut and burnt. Get a test done for your own piece of mind I've heard of women falling pregnant after having their tubes tied most of them had the clamps put on and they only last about 10 years before they start to loosen.
You are more likely to fall pregnant with your tubes tied/clamped in the first 2 years after surgery. I think it is 1 in 100 for the first 2 years and then 1 in 200 after that.
I had my tubes done about 3 years ago and still get pregnancy symptoms however have never actually been pregnant since surgery. Doctor told me it is a hormone thing and to suck it up pretty much lol. Now I ignore the signs and get on with whatever Im doing.
You should go see a doctor though and have a blood test done.
