Finding out the sex

Finding out the sex

How many of you found out the sex of your baby during pregancy? Or how many decided against it... Would you do the same thing second/third time around?

I didn't find out it was very exciting. Picked two names, one for a boy, one for a girl. We bought gender neutral clothes (I'm not really into the pink and blue thing anyway). Little babies look so cute in white. We got heaps of gender clothes as gifts after he was born. I've heard of people being told the gender and it turning out wrong so I think it's best not to get too carried away anyway. I was more interested in the health of the baby at scans.

Hi I found out with my first 2 and wanted to keep the 3rd a surprise but my husband wanted to know we tried finding out 3 times and she just didn't want to show us and as much as I thought she was going to be a girl it wasn't definite I loved the surprise but it would've been handy to know just so I could've been ready with all pink stuff and not all yellow green and white lol

My first was a surprise but I found out with my 2nd and 3rd.. It's nice to have a surprise at the end but the way I look at it is that it's a surprise when u find out anyway lol but I have to say a friend of mine found out and they said she was having a girl right up until an ultrasound at 38 weeks and they told her it was a boy she ended up having the baby 4 days later and yep it was a boy so she had to get all new clothes and everything.. So just keep in mind that sometimes they are wrong :-)

I didn't find out with either but knew in my heart with both. I got close to finding out with my second because I was SO sure she was a girl and worried what my reaction would be if I had a boy, but I didn't and she came out a girl. I wouldn't find out if I went back for another. I also had a relative find out they were having a girl and had a boy.

My 1st and 2nd we didn't find out. First I brought neutral (hated that and ended up buying everything again in pink when she was born). 2nd I brought pink and blue at the end of my pregnancy and kept receipts and just returned the pink when my son was born. I loved the surprise and was so glad I didn't find out even though it drove me crazy not knowing. My 3rd I weighed up pro's and cons and this time decided to find out. We decided not to tell anyone we found out and only told our kids 3 and 5 (surprisingly they kept our secret pretty good lol) lots of people don't like knowing which is why we didn't tell anyone. I thought it would ruin the surprise but knowing all those weeks I had a little boy growing inside just helped me build our bond and being organised was a bonus. I'd definitely find out again :-)

I found lout with both my children and I'd do it again in a heartbeat. I had horrible morning sickness with both and finding out was my reward for having to go through that. Also it helped me prepare both mentally and practically for the baby I had on the way. If you do find out be prepared to cop some flack; I had some people be terribly rude to me about finding out (like it's any of their business)!!!
