Cramping in very early pregnancy.

Cramping in very early pregnancy.

I'm 5 weeks 2 days pregnant and I have mild cramping today. The Cramping is like a heavy period. Is this normal? Could it be the uterus expanding already?
Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I cramped until 12 weeks with a touch of spotting. They told me the cramping was my ovaries releasing the hormones to the fertilised egg. The first few weeks you often feel a dull period pain. Thats normal.

I cramped throughout the entire pregnancy with both, but i have pcos. It is normal though to cramp during pregnancy, often more in the early stages and some spotting can be normal. If you get it bad with lots of blood or really bright red spotting see your doc.

Please don't panic. I had this in both my pregnancies. It felt just like my period was about to start. I even had some light bleeding too. Both pregnancies were absolutely fine and normal but it was certainly a scary start! X
