Family Court Relocation.

Hi everyone, I am hoping to hear from other Mummas who have been through a relocation in the family court?

A bit of back story. I escaped 3 years ago an 8 year domestic violence nightmare with my 2 kids who are now 9 and 7.
Last year the father was arrested and charged with sexual crimes against both children, but he was still trying to fight in the family court for access and visitation. Myself and the kids got granted an Interim relocation order to be able to go start our lives back in our home town in QLD, away from the state we were traumatised in (WA). We got declined legal aid funding for any representation to do with relocation, as legal aid "don't fund relocation matters". Family members helped cover the costs of legal representation for the interim order.. which was an amazing help, but now comes to the issue of having the family court hearing for the finalisation of the relocation grant, my lawyer has told me I will be looking at an excess of $50,000 to be represented for this case.

I am basically just hoping to hear from Mums, who have had a relocation hearing through the family court with no legal representation? How did you go about this? I have an appointment with a community legal centre for their advice, but hoping to get some advice from people who have gone through this firsthand.
