Do you think it would be weird to send a picture of my now 11 month old to the midwife who was with my when I gave birth? She was a wonderful lady. My daughter shares the same name as the midwife.

Unless you had a home birth with a private midwife it would be weird. If I was going to send a pic I’d send it to the hospital but mention the midwife.
Yes I do think it would be weird.
I used a midwife service that was run out of my local hospital, the office walls were littered with baby pictures and thank you cards, so I don't think it's weird.
It would be weird if you showed up at her house or something though lol!
Thank you cards with photos are usually done pretty soon after the birth but I think a random photo almost a year later is a bit weird honestly.
I'm sure they get it a lot, so I don't think it would be weird.
I wouldn't do it myself, however if it is something that you want to do then fair enough. Maybe just send a card and photo and say how you really appreciated her assistance with the birth.
But, in all honesty, they have so many women come and go it probably wouldn't mean a whole lot to her.
The midwife I had for my first was so amazing and I loved her and remembered so much useful advice she gave me.
When my son was like 9-10 months old, I saw her in the post office and went to go say hi, and she saw straight through me and I am pretty sure she had no idea who I was.
Sooooo I think it depends how well you guys got to know each other or if you were just another mama that she helped out
Same with mine lol! I see her every so often down town and she looks like she has no idea who I am. They would get so many mothers come in that they wouldn't remember us all, which is fine.
That is such a shame, I actually see the midwife who delivered ME 25 years ago quite often. She always approaches and says hello and asks how I am. She had seen me with my mum over the years and she had always approached my mum and remembered her.
It doesn't mean a whole lot to me, but I am sure it means a whole lot to her :)
