Howdy sisters-question in regards to a new childcare subsidy, we have joint income of $110K, both working full time and our daughter also goes full time to daycare and under new subsidy we are better of instead of paying $260 each week we will pay only $180. My question is - do we pay this amount the whole year or is there a cap? Last year it was capped at $7500 so if I calculated correctly the new government system is going to help us with $16000 this year instead of the cap of $7500. This sound too good to be true. Thank you

My understanding is there is no cap now
No cap now on the subsidy! We have a combined income of about $140,000 and we are better off too!! But don't think it's the case for all families!
Hi, the answers below are wrong there is a cap it’s $10k but there is new framework. It’s all means tested and a cap comes in to effect at a certain point and is t applicable to everyone like the old system. I know as it’s applied to me, and my percentage reduced.
