Removing my name from a co lease.

Hi there! After recently separating from my partner and moving out of our rental I've just rang to take my name off the lease and have been told I can't do it until I pay an administration fee which is over 100 dollars. Renting in Victoria. I've heard of 15 dollar fees and even 30 but over 100 Just seems a tad ridiculous to me and am wondering if anyone else has had to pay this?
