I own one expensive item and my cat just pee'd on it. It was my prized Oroton oversized leather handbag. To me it was worth a small fortune and now it stinks. Has anyone successfully removed the smell of cat pee from leather?

Pet barn has sprays that kills the enzyme in cat pee that smells. Only thing I've ever known to work
Did it work on leather?
I've used it on lots of things over the past decade
Insurance? Or take to professional cleaner
