Pregnancy worry

Confused!!
Hi, I'm hoping to get some answers, i am worried and confused.
I got a positive pregnancy test on the 22nd march (day of missed period) i went to the doctors and got a positive hcg result. I went back for another blood test on the 3rd april with my levels at 13250, the doctor said to get a dating ultrasound which i did on the 4th april. The doctor put me at 6 weeks 3 days lmp however at the ultrasound it didn't show a yolk sac or fetal pole, only an empty gestational sac. The ultrasound report said i was 5 weeks 5 days. The next day i went in for more bloods and the results were 21300 hcg levels. The doctor has told me to go for another scan next week but according to MY dates i am only 4 weeks 1 day ( we only had intercourse 1 time during my fertile period and i have a 32 day cycle). I am hoping I'm right with my dates and if i book in another ultrasound in 2 weeks there will be a a baby and heartbeat.
I guess I'm asking has anyone had a similar experience and ended up with a healthy pregnancy, im so worried my pregnancy isn't going to continue.

I've had a similar experience! Based on LMP should have been 6-7 weeks, however I most certainly was 3!! weeks when I had my dating scan. Only had a sac, went back in 2 weeks and saw a healthy beating heart :)

It was so early on that the pregnancy was detected due to IVF.. but I had a very healthy pregnancy. I got my positive 6 days after ovulation, very very early on. Hence they sent me for a dating scan as generally it's 14 or so days post.

Pregnancy weeks are counted from the date of your last period, not the date of ovulation or conception. So assuming you have a normal cycle of around 28 days, by the time you miss your period you are considered to be 4 weeks pregnant, even though it's only been around 2 weeks since you conceived.

Pregnancy weeks are counted from the day of LMP based on a 28 day cycle. So for all the ladies with cycles outside that 28 days the drs calculation is not reliable.

I know, but unless your cycle is wildly different, they still estimate it pretty much the same. Ovulation tends to still be 14 days before your period, even if your cycle is longer. Nobody is ever counted as 3 weeks pregnant, unless perhaps you have a 21 day cycle. So my point is that their counting will be different to hers as they are using standard counting, not from conception dates. She missed her period on March 22 which is now 2 weeks ago, so they would call her 6 weeks pregnant, and by measuring they said 5 weeks plus 5 days I think it said. I'm just explaining to her why she thinks it's less than them. Ultimately, she needs to wait a bit, then have another ultrasound to see if there is a heartbeat.

My first ultrasound I was around 5 weeks, couldn't see anything at all. Went back around 10 days later and there was a little jelly bean with a heart beat, I went on to have a healthy pregnancy. So if you're going off your dates, you probably won't see anything yet, my ultrasound tech told me they don't really get accurate scans til after 6 weeks gestation.
