Hey ladies, just after some advice.
So yesterday when giving my son a bath I discovered a little bug sitting in his hair. After a good look I realise he has head lice. Now, this is my first time having to deal with these little buggers. Yesterday I only found two live lice, since then I’ve spent yesterday and today picking out the eggs, 53 eggs in total (yes I counted😂). I rang the school this morning to let them know, the lady said she would send out a warning to all parents. I checked my son over again about an hour ago and all seems clear...I think🙄 but my question is, since the warning only went out today...would you send him tomorrow? Or keep him home so parents have the chance to check and treat there kids before school goes back on Monday. Thanks
Nits!!!

I've always gone with as logic of as the child's hair has been treated then they're fine to go to school the next day :-)
With my kids, I treat them then send them back to school. You can't control other kids parents or expect some of them to do anything about nits (cynical, I know, we live in a low socioeconomic area.) We just check every night and treat when required.
Most schools are happy for kids to return once they've been treated, so the next day is usually fine.
