Childcare

Childcare government help is over - hey sisters, hope everyone is doing well. I have just got a notice from Centrelink that our 7.5k help from them is over, now basically paying $120 a day until end of financial year. Does anyone got any tips how to deal with it financially, my pay basically going straight to daycare. I’m wondering whether it is worthy though.

If youre prepared to move the child, look a family day care their fees are much lower and they dont instantly count one day as 12 hours like a centre does, which makes a huge difference.

Lots of places have "occasional care" facilities as well but aren't as flexible. It just depends how much you like your job I guess. We can't afford childcare for my 2 kids, we'd come up at a loss because of the work I was in not being very high paying. If I was more career driven and enjoyed the work maybe I would have done it anyway, but it wasn't rewarding so I stay home with the kids and study from home part time so i can eventually go in to a higher paying feild.
