Choosing a minivan vs SUV

Hi, can you please ask for me:
I'm looking at buying a Kia Grand Carnival or Toyota Tarago for our next car, with more leg room for tall kids. I currently drive a 7 seater Kluger and although I only have 2 children, I also drive my elderly parents around and the rear seats in the Kluger are not suitable for tall teenagers.
Has anyone got pros or cons for a van vs a 4wd? Fuel economy, ease of parking etc.
Thanks.

I drove a Kia grand carnival to Melbourne from NSW and back and it was an amazing car to drive, it had plenty of room for two car seats and 4 adults and was actually quite good on fuel.

I own a Mitsubishi Pajero (SUV) and it suits all of my needs, we go camping and four wheel driving so a 4WD was a must for me to tow my camper trailer. It’s good on fuel for a 3.8L V6 and I get around 8-900ks to a tank. There’s a fair bit of room in the back seats but the two seats right at the back are best for kids only.

My sister in-law owns a prado and there’s plenty of room all round including the seats right at the back but won’t fit 3 car seats in the middle row. Again, she needs it to tow a ski boat and a camper trailer and she loves the fuel economy.

I think it all depends on what you will be doing with it as to which one will suit your needs.
Take them for test drives and see which you prefer as a family and go from there. Definitely do your research and search for reviews.
