Hi ladies
Has anyone had to go to family courts because the father wants over night visits after a severe acquired brain injury?
After 1 year in hospital we started visits again and gradually increased to over nights
But my 8 year old came back saying there was violence such as punching walls and throwing things screaming and yelling and the other family in the house had no care for the child just the father she was told it’s what happens when her father takes his medication she asked to go home and was told if she left she would never come back he also refused to let her call on a number of occasions. I finally had enough and stopped overnight visits.
Then the mental abuse started such as you don’t love me because you don’t want to stay at my house and I will throw all your things away or your mother is a liar a or I want to kill your mother because I hate her lot has been reported to the police but nothing they can do they just told me to get court orders
My child is frightened of staying the night
I have asked for many different reports to be done
I think he might be mentally ill he has delusions that I impersonate my child or that supervised visits are changed when they are not
Please does anyone have any experience with this kind of thing that could give me some advice
My daughter wants to see her dad for short periods of time and I would never stop her I just want her to be safe
