Hey all! So my question is.. has your child retracted in their toilet training. So my 4yo son has been fully toilet trained for over a year and a half and recently he started holding on to the point he would dribble and then nearly not make it to the toilet.... now it's progressed to him going into the cupboards and weeing in cups bowls and weeing on the floor or clothing and blankets. I asked him why he's not going to the toilet and he's reply is "he thought the toilet was there" or he doesn't know where the toilet is. I'm so confused!!! Any ideas or tips would be much appreciated.... thanks 🙏

I'd start by sending him to the toilet every 1/2 hour. Follow him in there. Praise him for using the toilet and WATCH him like a hawk. There would be no playing in the bedrooms etc or out of eye sight for awhile.
He'll get past it.
Have you ruled out an UTI? I would get urine tested first.
I could have written this myself tonight! Same age, same thing- it started 3 weeks ago with peeing under his bed and when caught says he thought it was the toilet, went well for 2 weeks and tonight has peed in the wardrobe and no reason why.
