Random question: how do I find someone to teach me to do my own makeup? I can only really learn by doing and getting feedback, so online videos don't work for me. I don't have any female friends my own age, and my family isn't big on makeup. But I would like to be able to just do the basics (at the moment all I can manage is foundation and some lip balm). As far as courses go, I can only find Cert III courses, which are a bit much for what I need. I'm in Townsville, Queensland if that helps. Thanks!

Add the beauty community on Facebook, it's a page. And you can post your face/make up and get feedback...
Our local WEA runs cheap make-up courses for personal use type makeup.
Otherwise I learnt a lot from beauty counters. It used to cost $20 for a session and if you bought any products the twenty came off the cost.
Contact a local Makeup Artists and see if they'll teach you to do some basics?
