Hey
So I will start with saying sorry for the TMI and what could be a lengthy read.
I was blessed with my daughter 6 months ago. Her birth was a bit traumatic ending in an episiotomy with no pain relief. Everything was healing great until during the first week I popped some stitches.
I went to the doctors straight away he said all should be fine but to monitor for infection and that the hole will close. No infection but hole never closed.
When bubs was about 12 weeks I went back to the doc due to noticing some weird growth (I think scare tissue as I scare badly) and that the hole had not closed yet.
Again doctor told me it's fine unless it cause me grief whilst having sex as their is no point having surgery to fix it until we're done having babies. Well lucky for me no grief at all
I went about thinking all was fine and thought it had healed.
I looked in the mirror tonight and to my horror I still have the hole and the weird growths have gotten bigger!!
I will be going back to get it looked at again but I'm thinking I'm stuck with it.
TMI. I popped the stitches very close to the opening so the growths are over my vag.
I guess my question is has anyone who has had an episiotomy had the same thing happen as me. Did you get the surgery right away or did you wait till after having all your babies or did you simply just let it be as it doesn't cause harm?? If you had a hole and didn't get it fixed did it close over time??
Thank you to those who have taken the time to read. Again sorry for the in your face information 😁

Best thing to do is go to a specialist! Drs don't know everything!!
I would suggest washing with pinetarsol (found in chemist) the growths sound bacterial and what happens when the vaginal flora get mixed with other bodily functions. Normal, but the dr should have taken it more seriously.
Omg I had a terrible experience with this but 4 years later I'm totally normal, except I still have scar tissue where I was cut!
I remember I popped two stitches as it was Mother's Day the day after I got out of hospital and I went on a big awkward and sore walk with my partners family, worst mistake ever lol
Try and take it easy! Go back to the doctors for a second opinion and if your still concerned get a referral to a specialist.
Although I thought my vagina would never look normal again , I even cried for weeks with how it looked and I was swollen with lumps and popped stitches I ended up over time healing very well on my own, was sore for the first year but now I'm just normal :) try not to stress and if concerned go back then the doctors and tell them how concerned u are and want to see a specialist
Go see a specialist. It shits me how often these fucking men dismiss us women, like it's not important for us to have a normal looking vulva/vagina that functions without fucking holes and or growths all over the place...😡😤
