My daughters hair

Hi ladies,

My 4 year old daughter has very fine/thin fluffy wavy hair... it always looks ratty and or fluffy. I took her to the hairdresser to get it cut to her shoulders to give the illusion that its thickers. It looks better but what product can I use to make it not so fly away?? I've used argan oil and a leave in moisture spritz (different times) but don't think it looks much better. Im really hoping it thickens up in the next couple of years! Anyone else's kids hair been really fine till they are 4? I thought it would have been thicker by now.

Thanks xx

My daughter is 6, her hair is so fine it gets static and stands on its end lol.

Until her hair gets thicker, it's best to keep it shorter with regular trims. When my daughters hair gets longer it looks super ratty and unkempt.

Wash as little as possible, like once a week and avoid conditioning as it makes it too soft (use a detangling spray with a wide tooth comb to brush)

Vivant Revita Foam - Priceline, Hairhouse Warehouse etc. stock it :)

You're doing all the right things so far. Also recommend the not watching as often

Other wise trying different hair masks or leave in confiditioners might help while it's in the hair because it will weigh it down but once you wash out, it's going to be extra soft meaning extra fly away.

For my own fly away I just use hair spray and smooth it down. Is that an option?

You can also buy thickening formula shampoos from a salon but I'm not sure you'd want to use on a 4 year old.

Other wise hang out until it thickens. Lots of hair spray, head bands, clips and things to keep it looking pretty

I always use a thick leave in conditioner in mine. Yes I have curly baby hair

I use a touch of coconut oil on my sons hair to keep it slightly more tame. It works well, and leaves it incredibly soft and shiny, but you have to be careful to only use the tiniest amount so that it doesn't end up greasy looking.
I also stopped washing his hair, which made it much less brittle as well.
