Hey. I know this feeling and I've only JUST recently decided enough is enough and cracked down. Currently 4kg down, another 5-7kg to go so only early days yet BUT baby steps.

I think what kicked me into gear was seeing photos of myself and realising how hideously gross I was holding weight in my face. Literally felt like a bullfrog.

I always think life isn't worth living if you have to eat shit you don't enjoy so I think that's where I always went wrong. I had too much coffee and chocolate and Pepsi max and carbs.

Slowly but surely I've knocked out soft drink, and just recently carbs from my diet. And I've cut down chocolate significantly.

I think it works better for me to wean myself off stuff. Or slowly work myself into things. But that's just my personality. Others probably need to just go cold turkey.

I also spent a decent amount of money on a exercise bike 🚴 and I don't want that money to go to waste so it's motivation to make the most of it..

Good luck! 💕💕 put your mind to it, and you got it girl

Have you thought about working with a psychologist. I found it a great way to get my head in gear to get healthy.
The psychologist helped me break down weening myself off certain foods gradually, she was also able to help me identify triggers for me reaching for those foods so I could build new coping mechanisms.

Things like sleep deprivation were a big trigger for me reaching for the foods I didn't want to eat/drink. Also I found an all or nothing attitude was tripping me up, I'd kind of go hard core depriving myself and of course that wouldn't last and would result in giving up and almost binging on those foods.

I can relate! I've been doing really well since november last year and have lost 12 kilos. Still need to lose another 10.
To cut off coke zero i started by buying cans and the little bottles instead of big bottles.
I made myself drink 500cc of water a day even if i was still having coke zero.
I then made a rule of drinking 1 lt water in the morning while driving to work. At every red light take a sip of water.
Eventually I tappered off coke zero and only allowed it on special occasions (like bdays).
I stopped buying coke zero all together and by that point was craving water. Now I drink only water and 1 coffee.
My point with this is if you are not to hard on yourself and make a rule that is easy to follow it could help you.
I hated water and now love it!

With sweets, what has helped is to find something healthy that i like to eat instead. For me its rice cakes.
I was also a big ice cream fan in summer so I exchanged my regular ice cream to paddle pops which have lower calories and you can control how much you eat (instead of filling a large bowl with ice cream).

For me it was all about swapping foods, finding rules to make it into a game and finding healthy food that i enjoy.
I used to love maccas but now love sushi.
I stay clear of triggers, if i have maccas i know i'll crave more maccas so I just dont have it anymore instead if im out i choose sushi or sumo salad or subway (in a salad bowl.

Hope some of this helps you.
