You can get two full days of daycare nearly 90percent paid by centrelink depending on your financial situation. I would call and ask about that. Would mean you could get work for 2 days. Or get a job thats night shift or on weekends? Working from home is difficult but an option for small amount of income
I worked a couple of late night shifts at the supermarket for awhile. It have me some pocket money and my son was asleep at that time.
I would look at doing things like family day care, or even as a previous poster said - doing night shift at supermarket, or even waitressing.
I work night fill at a major supermarket, it's not exactly interesting BUT it's exercise and no childcare fees, I work nights normally 8pm-2 or 9-5am, or the weekend shifts when hubby is home, money is good because of after 12 loading. Hubby has had to be understanding that when I need a nap I NEED a nap but it her than that ith as been a great flexible job.
Change your mindset- financially reliant on hubby ? I don't understand... You are a partnership you have a child whom he works outside providing income- you work inside providing for your family - no income but not worthless either. Your position is very important to your family - it wouldn't function without you... If you add what you do to a wage your worth would be substantial!!! Enough said - I have 3 kids how did we manage ? - we worked together as a family unit - it is not one man for himself!!!
I work 3 days a week my kids are 2 and 8 months I had no choice as hubby lost his job and had to take anything he could get with the rebate childcare cost me $50 per child per day we struggle even with my income I do not know how other family's do ot
