Looking for experiences from anyone who took lexapro while pregnant.
Hubby and I are trying to have a baby but i am also taking 10mg of Lexapro for general anxiety desorder and depression. I am 38 years old and my time to have a bubba is running out. I have tried other meds and they have not worked as well as Lexapro for me... I want another baby so bad but I am not sure I can go through pregnancy medication free (I did it with my first and went absolutely batshit crazy... ). I am also scared of hurting my baby by taking Lexapro. Obviously i will discuss all this with my dr if I get pregnant but for now.. I would love to hear about anyone here who took lexapro while pregnant. Is your baby ok? what dosage where you taking during pregnancy? what helped you decide between taking the med and not taking the med? any info in relation to lexapro and a geriatric pregnancy would be very welcome if anyone could share... thank you

Dr Rodney White from Monash Uni would be a great person to ask. He is an expert on medications during breastfeeding/pregnancy
I was on lexapro for my pregnancy and breastfed both my babies taking 10mg. My psychiatrist said it was best to stay on it for pregnancy and post. It's one of the safest for breastfeeding. Baby is completely fine.
I needed it for anxiety and I think if I hadn't of taken it I would of had post natal anxiety for the second (which I had for the first). Good luck - your mental health is pivotal to having a healthy pregnancy and baby.
