I'm so scared of being over paid in child support since I got a part time job. I've phoned them numerous times over the last 5 months. They have my income $13500 less than I get. Today I was told that my single parent Payment Pension doesn't count as taxable income and that's where the difference is.
Is this correct? I've tried googling but getting mixed answers.
I found a thing on the ato side for government pension allowances which you include in a seperate section to your income. Is this correct does anyone know?
I do not want to be over paid and it's stressing me out! I didn't claim child support for about a year and was never stressed because j knew what my income was as I was full time but I'm now part time and receive part single parent pension.
Hoping someone can help me.

If you are receiving parenting payment single there is no way your income is high enough to effect your Child support payments.
If you were earning enough money to stop your parenting payments entirely then it might become a problem.
In your tax return you would include your parenting payment in a special section but it won't effect your child support.
