It takes about 3 months for it to get out of your system however depending how many times you've been having it, it can take 6 months to get back into full swing. Then on top of that, take into account that for a healthy couple it can take up to 12 months to conceive. I'd give yourself a good 15 months timeframe to begin with, however hoping it is quicker for you!
I looked at the depo shots however we decided once we are finished having kids then I will go onto it. It just takes too long unfortunately :(
I was on depo for about 2 years and fell pregnant 2 years to the month after my last shot.
I was on it 10 years and it took 3 years to conceive, I did not go back on anything and took 6 months for the next baby.
