Hi mums, today im struggling more so than any other day. Its supposed to get easier right?? But right now i feel like im just falling deeper into the void. I go through the motions daily feeling numb and exhausted except for my brief window every morning when i cry in the shower so my husband wont know. Everyday is such a struggle and i just want there to be a light at the end of the tunnel but its just so hard to see.
Please tell me it gets better, easier.
That one day i wont be sitting crying because its my sons bday in 2 days and we cant afford presents or a party. That the sight of the postman wont leave me feeling sick to my stomach.
Does it get easier?

It does get easier, we all have shit times. Some more than others but generally life gets easier.
Can u afford a trip to the salvos? My friend buys her kids presents from the salvos and has picked up some awesome things for a few dollars. It's worth a try
Agree, head to the op shop - I pick up heaps there including brand new board games and toys in packets! Where are you located? I am happy to gift a present if you are nearby and I can get it to you in time!!
Ohhh darling!!! :(
Where are you located?? I want to help!! This makes me so sad..
It did get better for me but it didn't get better on it's own, I had to make it better. I went to therapy, I set goals and worked to achieve them. Currently I'm feeling drained, tired and uninspired from work (OMG I know I work too much) but I know it's just part of the cycle and it will swing upwards again.
Those days of not being able to afford a birthday party for our son were tough, honestly though out of all the parties the cheapest was the best. We had a dress up party at a local park and cooked sausages on bread on the park BBQ, a cooler full of cordial and the kids had a ball.
Chin up. It can get better, the struggle doesn't go away but you can fight back.
Not sure if it get easier for mums but..
My divorce solicitor told me about how his mum struggled to give him things growing up and a hot chip sandwich was their special takeout once a fortnight and he now has his own business and still appreciates those hot chip sandwich days.
