I'm just wondering when after having bubs did your period return back to normal?
I breastfed my boy until he was 6 months old, and my period returned around the 2/3 months after, but I have not yet had what I would assume a 'normal period'. I always get the old blood spotting at least 1/2 days before I get light bleeding, which generally lasts only a few days? A month ago I had a good bleed, but a week to 2 weeks after I had abnormally spotting? I'm currently 3 days late and I have checked with home pregnancy test which returned a negative? Although my husband and I have been having protected sex.
Has anyone else had these issues? I've just assumed it's my body still getting back into the swing of things and I am yet to go see my GP.

Mine didn't return until I stopped breastfeeding. I assume you don't mind if you get pregnant again. If you don't want to get pregnant please use contraception. You don't have to have a period to ovulate and get pregnant. But it's quite normal for some people for there period to not return to normal until they stop breastfeeding.
