Is there a way to get rid of psoriasis without prescription medication?
I've been using chemist psoriasis lotion. 3 different types and my psoriasis seems to be forming more and more each day. Not so much as itchy as previously (second time I've had it was diagnosed 2 years ago) but it's just everywhere! I get red spots all over my body and I'm so self conscious about it. Even getting undressed in front of my partner and being intimate... it's even on my buttox and gentials. I'm actually not familiar with treatments as the doctor who diagnosed me 2 years ago was one of those "you have this... ok bye" kind of doctor. Should I go to the doctor and get some sort of prescription medication? I hate going to the doctor for things that can be managed at home... plus I'm a busy mum/house wife and I have limited time.
Just any advice would be helpful!

Get a referral for a dermatologist and definitely have a visit to one. They can sort out what is triggering it. I recommend using a hair dryer particularly on your bum and vagina after showering just on the coolest setting to ensure you're extra dry and not making it worse :)
I have suffered with psorisis for the past 10 years! O only get it on my elbows but i have recently started getting a couple more spots on the back of my arm and my knee..i tried soo many natural creams and moisturisers over the years and nothing at all worked! Some creams actually made it worse and more flaky...i finally went to the doctors last week and got a prescription ointment (its a sterorid ointment) so you only use it for a week and no word of a lie it has already cleared up!! It is called (daivobet) good luck!
