Vbac success stories

I'm interested in hearing your Vbac success stories.

I'm 8 weeks pregnant with my second child. My first birth was fairly traumatic for me, I felt disempowered and it took me a while to process what I went through. Without going into too much detail, I was induced due to a high risk pregnancy and ended up having an emergency c section.

I really want to have a vaginal birth, I want it so very much, and this will be my last child (although of course I'm willing to do what is necessary to ensure the safety of myself and my baby). My midwife has advised me to be strong in what I want and keep the mindset that it will happen.

I can't help but feel in the depths of my mind that I'll never be able to have a vaginal birth even though there's no real reason I couldn't (currently low risk and it's been 3 years since my first).

Please let me know if you were able to have a Vbac and if there was anything that helped to empower you!!

I recommend joining the vbac australian support group on Facebook. They are very supportive and very knowledgeable. I am currently 33 weeks pregnant and aiming for a vbac and joining that group has helped me so much, from hearing success stories to advice and guidance from those who have had a vbac. Good luck with your pregnancy and your vbac adventure xx
