Hi Mums,
I am 3.5 weeks post partum (third bub) and 90% sure I have a minor Vaginal Prolapse. I had a short overall labour and a 4-5 minute second stage. No tears etc, no pain relief, average sized bub and no interventions. All natural, just very fast. I gave birth standing up if that means anything?
Its Sunday, so I cant get into the GP until this week sometime but im stressing a bit and would like some info before I go.
My bleeding stopped last week and my partner and I have been intimate twice during this time. After the first time, I felt like there was an air bubble stuck in my vagina that wouldnt come out. Eventually it went away, but we were intimate again this morning and the feeling came back again. We went to lunch and when I went to the bathroom, I tried to get rid of the "air bubble" by twisting and wriggling around lol. It didnt work, then it dawned on me.. I have a prolapse. So I washed my hands and checked internally, now im almost certain I have one.
No incontinence, no constipation, no problems emptying my bladder or pain during sex. Sex is not even uncomfortable, I just feel "full" afterwards, as if there's a big bubble or lump. Its not hanging out or anything either.
Has anyone had a minor one? What treatment did you have? Was it a quick fix or did it require surgery? Im only 27 and was not expecting this. I know aaaaaaall about upping my Pelvic Floors and have already started, but any other help would be greatly appreciated x

Actually I wouldn't do pelvic floors until it's been looked at (unless you happen to be a physio who specialises in this area). Sometimes it's best to wait.
A few days wait won't hurt. My sister had s minor one required no surgery.
Hi! Im 29 and got my prolapse 2 years ago after the birth of bub #2 After a lot of research on prolapse my advice would be to wait at least 6 months to a year, before doing anything about it.. some women take longer for everything to "go back into place" and its completely normal. After a few months if you have been active and doing your pelvic floor exercises (should wait a few months to start pelvic floor exercises after having bub) if you still feel uncomfortable go see your gp and ask to be referred to a urogynaecologist. Not a regular gynaecologist. To answer your question about surgery, they are all quite invasive, and don't always work. Also after habing prolapse surgery you need to be sooo careful basically you csnt pick up your baby or anything mildly heavy for a very long time. I had a "minor" surgery which i had to pay 6000 for through private hospital, and weeks later it failed and the prolapse was back. My youngest bub is now 2, ive been working out at the gym for a few months and ive noticed when ive been working out everything down there feels more normal. Good luck, 3.5 weeeks is still very very early so theres more chance that you just need a little longer to go back to normal. Ive been dealing with my prolapse for a while now so if you want to chat about it let me know :)
I would recommend looking in to the "Jade Egg" http://gettingnaked.com.au/ it has worked wonders for me, i thought people were crazy when they recommended it to me. So I done a lot of research prior and now I've been using it, it's magic! It can help with a lot of internal issues for women. Seriously look in to it and might help you too :)
